I also save by resisting the yum-yum items - like candy, cookies, and many ice creams. The only time any of this is inside my home is when my son has been me, or there's an awesome sale. Even then, I still by one package in the item in question.

How this took over as the "Tight Budget Diet Plan" is very easy. Let's say I have a taste for bacon, eggs, toast, and potatoes. To make my bacon supply last, instead of cooking three pieces, I cook two. Instead of two eggs, I cook one. I like to make raw-fried potatoes. Again I only shred two rather than three. My toast, I have two pieces, but I utilize "Pepperidge Farm Thin Slice" brand. Of all the things that I have made, the only name brand method is the toast.

Granted, you have to be determined to help the body to adjust to smaller servings. You may still be slightly hungry as soon as you finish. But by reminding yourself how we have extended the food budget, it can make the feeling that you will love to eat more much easier to handle. Eventually, you will find that those feelings disappear completely.

I may even treat myself to outside food as being a treat. For instance, our local Chinese restaurant has lunch specials. My favorite is the sweet-n-sour chicken and fried rice for $ 3.99. I will pick this on my way to work, since I start at 1:00 on that one day, and I will split just how much in half and have two meals for $ 2.25 every day! I am totally full too!
